As VRT wanted to make its employees’ commute more sustainable, the Flemish public broadcaster started looking for a flexible solution that could offer employees the choice on how to travel to work. Vaigo had the honour to assist VRT in its search for a more sustainable commute.

Living in a society where we no longer all work fixed 9-to-5-jobs and where teleworking is actively promoted to reduce the amount (and length) of daily traffic jams, employees are starting to look into other ways of transport. At the VRT office, Mobility Coordinator Elien Raport noticed a similar trend.

Ever more colleagues are looking for alternatives to organise their commute more flexibly and sustainably

“Ever more colleagues are looking for alternatives to organise their commute more flexibly and sustainably,” she says. “They are opting less and less for a black-or-white solution and want to be able to vary things according to their personal situation or the season.”

Adapt mobility options to VRT transport profiles

Facilitating the various transport choices for VRT’s 2,000+ employees? Sounds like something our mobility platform Vaigo could help with. Instead of just throwing together a bunch of mobility options and consider the case done, we took the time to really explore the situation in detail so we could tailor the platform according to meet their needs perfectly.

Thanks to Vaigo, we can now convert the VRT transport profiles into practice and offer a contemporary solution.

“This is a strong card to have compared to other solutions available in the marketplace,” emphasises Elien Raport. “For example, Eurides has developed a special robot that guides our employees in a user-friendly way as they make their choices. Simulations can even be made of the different mobility solutions available to an employee, depending on his or her personal situation. At the same time, the solution significantly reduces the administrative and tax workload for our back-office staff.”

“Thanks to Vaigo, we can now convert the VRT transport profiles into practice and offer a contemporary solution,” concludes Elien Raport.
